Review for Rabbit Wranglers, Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I'm not quite sure where to begin, but I will certainly try not to write a novel.

When I adopted my bunny, Heidi, from Animal Friends in 2014, I was given Rabbit Wranglers' information. Little did I know how much it would come in handy.

Heidi was originally a stray, and her first year with me included some unfamiliar behavior, worms, stasis, and many trips to the ER Vet. And, as promised, Suaz and Alyssa were there every single time. Whether it be 5 pm, or 5 am, they upheld their promise to be there for Heidi and me.

Fast forward a couple months when I rescued a little boy bun named Teddy. I'd never rescued before, so Suaz talked me through it all. Teddy was doing great until he had a medical emergency on new years eve.

I called Suaz, scared to death, and she immediately came to my rescue. On her way over, her car broke down, and I felt horrible. She stayed on the phone with me the entire night and kept me calm while Teddy was being cared for. After he was released, he became part of Rabbit Wranglers' medical boarding and was nursed back to health and adopted by a lovely family! In 2016, I foster failured Gomez, who started off as a timid foster bunny, and ended up falling in love with Heidi. He had a rough start, but thanks to Rabbit Wranglers, we was given a new lease on life and is enjoying being a "husbun".

Suaz also medically boarded Heidi twice during 2 separate critical illnesses, and when she came home, she was a changed bunny! They truly are bunny whisperers, and have a magic touch.

I don't know how I'll ever repay them for their support and guidance, so I became a Rabbit Wrangler volunteer as of December 2015. Since then, I've learned so much, and have boarded bunnies, as well as fostered a few. It's the least I can do to give back to Suaz and Alyssa for all that they've done for me. Volunteering has been so rewarding, and the connection I've made with other volunteers has been incredible.

If it weren't for these two phenomenal women, I don't know where I'd be. But I do know one thing for sure, that I'm honored to be a volunteer with the most amazing group of people I've ever had the privilege of knowing.
