When there were so few humane solutions to an unspeakably cruel practice, Chimp Haven has developed, maintained, and expanded a marvelous haven for abused and tortured primates. People of huge hearts and great efforts have brought quality lives to these poor, damaged beings. It breaks my heart to think of their lives prior to Chimp Haven and it fills my heart to witness their compassion and hard work.
