I had my first conversation with Alyssa, co-founder of Rabbit Wranglers in the fall of 2014. I had just purchased 10 lbs of timothy hay from an on-line vendor for the first time, and I contacted her to see if I could share some with the rabbits. I thought it would go bad before my guinea pigs could finish it. She told me how to store it to keep it fresh. I was so impressed with her knowledge and caring that I became a volunteer.

In January 2015 Alyssa asked if I could take in a foster rabbit. I never had a rabbit so she matched me with 9.5 year old Orlando. You can probably guess what happened next. After 6 months of fostering this sweet, gentle girl, who is nice to guinea pigs, I realized I couldn't live without her, and officially adopted her.

Since then, I have had the pleasure of meeting Suaz, the other co-founder of Rabbit Wranglers, and many of their dedicated, wonderful volunteers. Rabbit Wranglers never turns away a rabbit in need and they are always available to give advice or help with a sick bunny. Alyssa and Suaz and volunteers also spend countless hours planning and holding events to raise money for the rabbits in their care. Their dedication to the cause is amazing, and they are available 24/7.
