I am an animal lover, especially dogs. I had a magnificent dog for 17 years, her name was Mallory. After her passing, my career travel demands prevented me from adding a pet to my busy lifestyle.

Having recently moved to the Wilton Manors area, I was introduced to "The Pet Project for Pets". I immediately fell in love with their mission (unique to all other pet related organizations I had been introduced to), to aid the elderly, disabled, terminally ill, etc. to financially afford to keep their pets by providing food, veterinarian services, etc. - especially when the owners need the companionship of their pets most.

My first event to join was the Bowl-A-Thon. I was able to pull together 25 friends, creating 5 bowling teams, to bowl alongside multiple other organized teams. Our collective efforts helped The Pet Project for Pets to surpass their initial goal of $10k and raise $20+k. My extreme belief in this organization motivated me personally to raise the largest total donation amount.

As 2016 President of the South East Florida Apartment Association (SEFAA), I am now trying to explore ways SEFAA can become an intricate part of supporting The Pet Project for Pets.

Presently I am working on recruiting people to join Push Up for Pets, attempting to secure some privately owned gyms to take on the challenge. Additionally, I am recruiting people to join the Paws 4 Paws event at local dog parks. I am planning on recruiting for both of these events from local pet friendly apartment communities and any/all other avenues I can think of.

I am V.P. over 3 corporate divisions for the nations largest tax credit developer/owner/management company, president of the 2nd largest apartment association in the state of Florida and a national keynote speaker for the multi-family housing industry - my life is crazy busy. But this organization captured my undivided attention, proved itself to be extremely worthy and deserved to have me reorganize my priorities and make it a top priority in my life!

Proactively keeping pets out of shelters, providing assistance to those in need, insuring pet owners their pets love when they need it most, fostering pets who unfortunately lose their owners and finding pets their forever home - truly a noble cause that deserves all of our attention and resources.
