Review for International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS), Durham, NC, USA
I have been visiting the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) website ever since they first began on the Internet. They provide the highest quality information available on everything concerning NDE-related topics. Along with an informative website, IANDS publishes the Journal of Near-Death Studies - the only peer-reviewed scholarly journal devoted solely to NDE studies - with articles that are very enlightening as well as informative. IANDS also publishes Vital Signs, a newsletter for members, and sponsors annual conferences and other NDE-related programs. I have a website devoted to NDEs as well (www.near-death.com) and I support IANDS' mission is to promote multi-disciplinary research of NDE and NDE-like experiences including their effects on the lives of those who have them. I especially like how IANDS promotes the exploration and implications of the NDE phenomenon as it relates to life, death and the possibility of life after death. This is much needed information for a world that seems too often to have lost touch with its spiritual nature. I especially enjoy IANDS online Index to the Periodical NDE Literature which is absolutely free with a Supporting or higher IANDS membership. This NDE Index is the world’s most powerful NDE search tool and must have for anyone interested in NDE research. I cannot recommend this research tool enough to people. This valuable tool provides bibliographical information on where to find almost every scholarly article concerning NDEs published in English between 1877 and 2011. Many of the articles are available for free or for purchase on the IANDS website. IANDS provides a much needed service to the world - valuable information concerning the most important topics in life - and most of it is free. Visiting the IANDS website, you can find answers to such questions as: Who are we as human beings? What does life, death, and life after death mean? Where do we go when we die? Why do so many scientists not accept the existence of an afterlife? How can I know whether or not NDEs are evidence of an afterlife? Where can I get help after having an NDE? Where can I get help after the death of a loved one? Where can I get more information about NDE?

IANDS is the premier organization for near-death experience (NDE) research and studies with a membership program offering a multitude of valuable resources including their prestigious Journal of Near-Death Studies, their Vital Signs newsletter, and their Index to the NDE Literature through to 2011. They offer open access to freely download their editions of the Journal of the Near-Death Studies from 1981 to 2009. Membership offers many more outstanding resources. Their newly redesigned website provides free access to many scholarly articles and downloadable documents and links to many valuable resources. You will not find a more authorative and scholarly website on the subject of NDEs and related phenomena.
