As a Puertorican living in Florida, I am IMMENSELY grateful to Chrissy Beckles (who is not Puertorican) for the heavenly-but-so-difficult labor of love she is doing. Puerto Rico - my country - is not known for being kind, compassionate to animals. Sadly, indifference for their welfare prevails, and Chrissy has taken upon herself a task made more difficult in a country that cares little about animals, where sometimes you encounter a poor animal in distress and you feel impotent. A "Nobel Prize" for animal compassion for Chrissy, and my admiration and GRATITUDE.
