Review for National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Denver, CO, USA

Rating: 5 stars

From my perspective the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence has been the one organization on the national level that has stayed true to its roots - working for all abused women and children from a grassroots perspective. I am honored to be assoiated with them - for over 30 years!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Working on the local, state and national level - NCADV has always been in the forefront of advocacy and information sharing. This would be a much poorer movement without them.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Find a way for them to have reliable and adequate sources of income so that their work could entirely be focused on "the work".

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The committment of leadership to grassroots advocacy.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Amazingly diverse participants of all ethnicities, faiths, sexual orientations, degrees of disability,etc.etc.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Provide significant support to the grassroots organizations that began and sustain the movement to end violence against womn and children in this world.

Ways to make it better...

NCADV had more - and more reliable income sources.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Financial

One thing I'd also say is that...

NCADV has been there throughout the history of the grassroots movement - changing with time and focus - but not mission. Congratulations on a job still being well done.
