Review for Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking, Denver, CO, USA
I serve on the Board of LCHT because the work they are doing to end human trafficking is crucial. From the multiple state-wide research projects to determine Colorado's strengths and gaps in this work, to the thousands of first responders, medical professionals, and community members trained, to the 24/7 hotline, LCHT is a leader in informing social change to end this form of human exploitation.

I'm so proud to work with LCHT in their data-driven quest to eliminate human trafficking in Colorado and beyond. Their survivor-informed, partnership-focused model is unique and an essential tool in their mission to inform social change that ends human exploitation. LCHT's trainings bring awareness and guidance to medical professionals, first responders, child welfare workers, and citizens. LCHT also manages the 24/7 Colorado Human Trafficking Hotline to connect individuals experiencing exploitation with resources, take potential human trafficking tips from the public, and provide service providers with referral resources.

I began my work with LCHT as a volunteer, after looking for ways to get involved in the local anti-human trafficking movement. I assisted with research projects for this community-based research organization, and have also served as a hotline volunteer. My current role as a Board member continues to provide me with meaningful opportunities to participate in LCHT's quest to eradicate human trafficking in Colorado. LCHT’s focus on collaboration with other anti-trafficking organizations has made them a nationally-recognized and respected leader in this field. LCHT’s training of over 25,000 first responders, law enforcement, medical providers and community members has raised awareness of this issue across Colorado and inspired many more to join our movement.
