Review for Isaiahs Place, Whitney, TX, USA
I first went to Isaiah's Place 6 years ago to learn how to quilt. When the owner told me that she taught quilting to Deaf groups as well, I knew instantly that we had something in common. Being a sign language interpreter, I was intrigued with this place that not only invited the Deaf to come and have fun, and learn new things, but also taught the hearing sign language and how to communicate with the Deaf. It was bringing two worlds together, in such a unique, western, setting! I've been hooked ever since.

There have been so many fun, learning experiences at Isaiah's Place. One of the best is the Summer camp for kids. To see a sea of hands all waving and moving...communicating. Both Deaf and hearing, working together to better understand ASL; it's beautiful
