I recently traveled with a group to Guatemala and stayed at the new Eco Guest House at the Xela AID project. This is such a wonderful facility and the projects that we worked on were the most fulfilling activities with children of the local village. The kids were so well behaved, and the leadership of the organization made us feel welcomed. I would recommend this experience to anyone wishing for a true volunteer vacation with a purpose.

I went on my first trip to Guatemala in 2004 and fell in love with the people. I don't speak very good Spanish but they all have made me feel welcome when I try. The country is beautiful and Xela AID treats you to a special view of the Mayan culture and people. Since that first trip, I have traveled many more times, sponsored a young boy for school, and most recently a young girl who is a nurse. All my travels with Xela AID have been special. I would recommend Xela AID to anyone wanting to travel to Guatemala and to serve those in need.

Just returned from a wonderful trip to Guatemala with Xela Aid. Participated in a clean water project, shoes for the kids, and new computers for students in college.
