Review for Every Child Ministries, Hebron, IN, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been with ECM from its earlier beginnings as a sponsor for a young child. Year after year I watched this ministry grow helping children & families against great odds. There is no doubt in my mind that God has gone before them to open doors that previously had been closed. Where there is no hope, ECM, is there to bring hope and help those in need. It doesn't stop there either. They teach and bring opportunities to give people a life. The child I sponsored is now a young man learning animal husbandry. Once his schooling is completed he will be able to have a bright future where there once was none.

Review for Buffalo Field Campaign, West Yellowstone, MT, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I learned about Lakota activist Rosalie Little Thunder, from her granddaughter. My research on Rosalie lead me to BFC. I was shocked to find out the atrocities that Yellowstone bison are put through on a yearly basis. I had no idea that they were killing off thousands of the majestic Bison and the history of the midwest for no real reason at all. If it were not for the tireless efforts of BFC to protect the bison, it would be unconscionable what fate the bison would have to endure. It is imperative for the state of our being that the bison ecosystem be maintained. Bison should not be killed for seeking out food in the winter because they cross an imaginary line into Montana. The Bison do not spread disease! Their numbers were in the millions and now we only have a few herds of genetically intact, non-domesticated, and continually free buffalo. We need to stop shrinking our ecosystems and learn a new way to live. We also need to preserve history for the generations to come.

I got involved with ECM about 14 years ago. I sponsored 1 child and then 2 children. ECM gives children that would normally be on the streets a good home, a good education and a new lease on life. Many of the children are saved from being kidnapped by Kony.

It's been wonderful to watch this nonprofit grow over the years. They touch so many lives for the better while teaching the Word of God. They save many children from certain death or at the least a life fraught with misery and starvation.

I've been a sponsor for 15 years. It's actually hard to express the journey of being involved with ECM. Let alone watching a child grow up to be a young man of God. Yes there are all the good things to say about ECM like being an upstanding steward. Their work has changed so many lives for the better in a country filled with despair. ECM takes children that are at great risk and gives them a life filled with hope and promise.

Being involved with ECM is even more than all that. I've been able to share my wisdom and everyday life with a child like I would my own. I'm so proud of the child I sponsor who calls me "Mama". He is so filled with the spirit of God. He has done well in school and gives his time & attention to others. Now that he is a teen we are able to lift each other up with the word of God. So as you can see it is more than rewarding, it is life changing. I encourage all to sponsor a child.

I've been a sponsor for about 12 years now. It is very fulfilling to know I'm changing the lives of children by helping them with their education. This is an outstanding organization that truly cares about all children. In a country where there can be such turmoil & poverty, ECM is a beacon of hope and safety. It has been inspiring watching ECM expand their reach as they have grown their ministry. I highly recommend this nonprofit. They are excellent stewards with the monies they receive.
