Review for Organic Soup Kitchen, Santa Barbara, CA, USA
The Organic Soup Kitchen is more than a non profit organization in my eyes. In every container of soup that we make and in every meal that we serve there is a little bit of ourselves, which is our love for what we do. I, as a volunteer look forward every morning to going to the kitchen and working hard to enrich the lives of our local veterans and our patients. We at the kitchen have generous hearts and work hard until the last person is fed, which requires over 12 hour days sometimes. The vision and direction of Anthony, Andrea, and Tony we as volunteers are a well oiled machine and capable of performing any task. I've been lucky enough to witness events that we have catered and with the direction of these three feeding hundreds of peoples not what I would say easy, but extremely manageable. By watching them it has helped me in my career and directing people with compassion instead of a strong arm approach. I started out with washing dishes at the kitchen, but now I cook beside these three and make soup and nothing makes me more happy than seeing the smiles on our patients faces when I deliver. The Organic Soup Kitchen has brought so much joy into my life, by spending time with family and friends for a good. I can't imagine not doing what I can to support this organization in some way, because of the smiles that they bring to me and all the lives that they touch in in Santa Barbara on a daily basis. These are two of my favorite moments at the kitchen, the first one was the first time I ever volunteered at the kitchen and the second is the joy that is brought to all the volunteers by Anthony and Andrea
