I have been absolutely thrilled with my association with IDRF. It is very rare to find somebody like Dr. Vinod Prakash , the founder of IDRF, who has totally devoted last thirty years of his life to the uplifting of the poor and needy in India. Undaunted by the huge problems facing these people, Vinod and his wife Sarla have tirelessly worked to improve their lives on multiple fronts, taking care of their medical needs, education, water and sanitation to name just a few, especially for girls and tribal people. I feel very grateful to Vinod and Sarla for letting me be a part of their great endeavor which has profoundly changed for better the lives of so many people. The work that IDRF has accomplished has an enduring effect for generations to follow. However rare Vinod as a person is, I still wish there were more people like Vinod who would follow his model in other parts of the world to make our earth a better place to live for millions of people.
