The Lab Rescuers trusted me with my first Lab, Annie, in 2010. She was already 11, a "senior", who went on to become a most beloved visiting "therapy dog" at a nearby nursing home. Other labs have followed and just this weekend the Rescuers trusted me with a fourth "Senior", Stella Bella, who still has years of love to give. Over the years I have met many of the people who make up this wonderful organization - "retrievers" who drive all over Southern California to rescue dogs from bad situations, vets who volunteer their services, foster parents who find room in their homes and hearts for Labs in need of temporary shelter, care and assessment. They do amazing work very well - and they do it for love. Annie, Bailey, Tia, Bella, I and future members of our "pack" are all in debt to the Rescuers.
