Review for Buffalo Field Campaign, West Yellowstone, MT, USA
I first heard about this organization on my last trip to Yellowstone and I was so impressed with their work and the need for their work, that I have kept in touch with them and donated what I can (in money).

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing how effective they have been with very little money and all volunteers. It is amazing they can be in the field every day--no matter how cold it gets!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Give them more help.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
They give me hope that change can come even in the worst circumstances. They are fighting for the animals, who have no voice. I also enjoy the very nice notes, hand written, that they send as thank yous. They personally respond quickly to emails .
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Energetic, hard working, dedicated, personable. Obviously going out of their way not only to help the bison, but also any one who had questions.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Cnange the whole lives of the buffalo. The American icon--and it deserves to be respected instead of mistreated. They could also buy up land where the buffalo could roam freely--probably the most important thing.
Ways to make it better...
They could do a better job if they had more money and were able to get their message out. For instance, if they could hire a full time person to do publicity and ask for donations.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Lack of money and the fact that they are fighting well entrenched interests, ie, the cattle interests.
One thing I'd also say is that...
it has made me very sad to see the plight of the buffalo but I have gotten strength and hope from what these remarkable people do--and are doing. They embody the very spirit of unselfishness and are truly an inspiration.
