I have been associated with this organization for about 20 years. It has been such a wonderful experience I moved to Orange County, Virginia in retirement to be closer. It has given me a real purpose for getting our of bed each day and improved my life by the experience. The people I have met and the experiences I have had over the years greatly improved my mental state especially after my wife, who introduced me to the group, passed away. I am very thankful for having been able to be a part of this organization.

My wife discovered Rikki's many years ago and we became donors first and then active volunteers. It is a wonderful place that brings hope to many animals and humans as well. I have heard it called a magical place and I believe it. There is a peace associated with visiting the animals and getting involved with the loving residents of Rikki's. It is very satisfying to know that these animals have found a safe, forever home.
