I became interested in SC CARES when I moved here 5 years ago. The owner would write such wonderful articles in The Sun paper and I decided I wanted to see this place for myself. I had never seen many of her animals anywhere else except the zoo. The amount of work that goes into caring for these animals on a day to day basis is staggering. It's hard work and few volunteers are willing to do what it takes. It would be great if they could hire someone to help on a full time basis. Please provide them with as much financial support as possible.
