My horse was lucky enough to be able to retire at Mitchell Farm. He was given all the time he needed to become acclimated to retired life. Dee was very patient with him, as were all of the wonderful volunteers at the farm. You cannot find a nicer group of people to care for your horse or to volunteer with. I became a volunteer about 4 years ago because my horse was there. However, I will continue to volunteer because of all of the friends I have made during that time. It is a very rewarding experience to say the least.
