My orchestra program was grateful and thrilled to receive a grant through the Give A Note Foundation as part of the 2016 MIOS Tour. The entire process of receiving the grant was rewarding and the foundation was very professional. They even succeeded in pulling off a secret mission with my principal for a surprise assembly to announce the news to me and the school. Along with the grant, we received a visit from Radio Disney, a concert with Forever in Your Mind, and an Ardy award. The experience really helped my students become extra motivated in their music education journey. The money went to purchase needed instruments for our growing program. Currently, we have 2 to 3 students sharing every cello, so the grant was very helpful as we work to meet the demand for instruments.
