Project Share is such a blessing to the people of Carlisle. They not only feed bodies, they feed minds and spirits. From the well organized and plentiful , monthly food distributions and the weekly produce stand to the wonderful information on how to prepare healthy foods not normally afforded in the diets of those of us who live on or near the poverty level. Teaching is so important because if you give someone food they don't know how to cook, they probably won't use it. So many workshops are available to the community for the children and families for the betterment of themselves and the community as a whole. They address health issues and invite other sources of wellness to set up tables and offer services to clients, such as flu shots, diabetic education, healthcare and dental service providers. They are a wellspring of vital information for the poor and the working poor to make ends meet. They provide prayers for those requesting them. They provide fellowship through holiday dinners and events like school supplies distributions. They truly make my life better and so many others by doing the Lord's work. I am very grateful for Project Share!
