Review for Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary Inc, St. Pauls, NC, USA
I have been a follower and supporter of BCR for give or take 4 years now. I am consistently impressed and amazed with the sanctuary, the founder Alana, the staff, the volunteers, and all of the other supporters. BCR has set an industry standard that most would consider extremely high – then beat it. Again and again. Month after month after year after year. BCR&S started by rescuing blind cats that are mostly considered ‘un-adoptable’ therefore are euthanized. They have since expanded to cover FIV+ and FELV+ cats that are also considered ‘un-adoptable’ therefore are euthanized. In addition to providing excellent care for +/- 90 cats BCR takes a very active role within their small and economically depressed community providing education, support for TNR programs, support for the local police and fire departments and animal control/human society. BCR is nothing short of a slice of heaven here on earth where you will find angles: albeit no wings to be seen, angles nonetheless.
