Review for Homeland Disciples Inc, Chesapeake, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

At the beginning of 2015, Debbie Roth escorted a homeless lady named Wanda, to an eye exam that was set up by Homeland Disciples. At the eye exam, Wanda was diagnosed with severe cataracts which would require surgery to correct vision problems. Wanda was determined to be almost blind due to the cataracts.

Being a surgical process was required, Wanda was required to take a physical prior to the surgery where it was found that she had high blood pressure and diabetes. Both of these issues had to be resolved before eye surgery could begin. Between February and June of 2015, Wanda underwent a number of medical exams in attempts to control her high blood pressure and her diabetes. Over the 5 months Debbie took Wanda to each of her doctors appointments, logging approximately 1250 driving miles.

During June through July Wanda was finally admitted to a local hospital to undergo eye surgery, implanting lenses in each eye and thus correcting her vision.

Today, a year after her surgery, Wanda's vision is far better than perfect and she remains very grateful to the assistance she received.

Wanda did not have insurance of any form and all the service provided were without cost.
