I am an adopter, volunteer and supporter of Colony Cats & Dogs for over 3 years now. Being 100% volunteer run, I have seen the most dedicated people who give so much of their time, energy and love to this organization and the pets in their care. The executive director supports the volunteers in their efforts to help animals they find who are in need of rescue. It is a team effort and everyone puts the animals first not their egos. Colony Cats has many committed volunteers who go out in our community to TNR (trap, neuter, return) which I feel is a critical part of animal rescue - reducing overpopulation and providing support to "community" and feral cats. Their adoption center is cage-free so the cats available for adoption aren't confined to cages. If a cat doesn't thrive in this environment, Colony Cats has 13 off-site locations in partnership with various pet stores in central Ohio where they are provided a lower key environment while they await adoption.
