I am a volunteer dog walker at ARL in Boston and I can't say enough great things about volunteering here. The staff is very friendly and the animals are very well taken care of. They receive consistent training, attention and love from the staff and fellow volunteers at the facility.
As a volunteer, I am offered an abundant amount of resources and additional training to improve my skills and interactions with the dogs. The hours are flexible to fit my schedule and I am never the only volunteer working. The staff is more than happy to help me with any specific questions I have regarding the dogs, behaviors, statuses, etc. Dogs get adopted quite quick, and there is no better feeling than seeing a dog become a new member of a family, and placed in a home that will provide them all the love and attention they are used to receiving at the shelter.
