I have volunteered with ARL in Dedham as a canine companion at first, from March 2015-August 2015. After transferring schools to Suffolk University, I continued volunteering at ARL in Boston. I have also volunteered with ARL at Paws In the Park in Brewster, MA last year. Since volunteering, I have wanted to work more with rescues and fight for animal rights as my career. I have loved every single dog in the shelter and I wanted my first dog to be a rescue. Little did I know, I got to work with Murphy, a lab/dane mix, and adopt him a week before Christmas! He is my absolute pride and joy. All a dog needs is love, and I am very pleased how the staff at ARL find great homes for these brilliant dogs. There are dogs who are rescued from critical situations and this shelter has done more than wonders for these animals. I would DEFINITELY adopt from ARL again!!!
