I had the opportunity to be with ROWAN in Mawanga for two weeks in June 2016. ROWAN truly stands apart from other nonprofits I have interacted with through their willingness to not just help the community but to live life with the community and this deep commitment & long term investment is what makes ROWAN so successful on a relational level. All the local ROWAN staff are joyful and willing to help whenever and wherever they can - whether interacting with children during Saturday program or working at a building site rebuilding houses for clients of ROWAN, the staff members lead with a humble grace and meekness of spirit that truly reflects God's spirit. I was so blessed to have had the opportunity to visit households and talk to men & women about their lives, their hopes and challenges. Thank you for letting us walk next to you in these weeks ROWAN & keep doing the amazing work that you're doing!!!
