Burge Bird Rescue is run by dedicated Dr.Burge and her staff. The rescue is exceptionally clean and well managed to see to the welfare of the birds in their care. They rescue birds from hoarding situations, abandoned birds, and the lost ones. I highly recommend anyone looking to adopt a bird to check with this group first before buying from a pet store!

Burge Burd Rescue does tremendous work rescuing exotic and domestic birds, alike. They go out of their way to help those that others won't, even taking a little boat out to local lakes to rescue the "Easter" ducks set loose by misguided humans. Thank you, Dr. Julie Burge and Burge Burd Rescue!
