We love NTBHR! I am an avid Basset Hound lover. We lived in IL until 4 years ago, we moved to Hurst Texas. I had rescued one basset myself back in IL from the pound. We did not live close to a basset rescue. We loved Bubba but he had heart worms & bad ear infections. Of course we had to pay for all of his treatment.

Living close to a rescue is great because they do all the vetting & fostering. We have adopted 2 rescues from NTBHR! Sheldon was adopted after we had to put down Bubba & Cindy our old Bassets. We miss them dearly. Sheldon is a great boy! Love him!

About another year later we adopted Jasmine! Oh my she is wonderful!

We can't imagine not having them in our lives! Thank you NTBHR! I would love to foster but they would be all fails b/c I would want to keep them all. My hubby won't let me foster! LOL
