Review for North Texas Basset Hound Rescue, Grapevine, TX, USA
This rescue group really has it figured out. The heart of what they do lies in each and every hound that they find a home for. In college, they took in a basset hound that I found on the street. The poor guy was about 30 pounds underweight, covered in fleas/ticks, and cried nonstop. Come to find out, he had several different blood diseases. It was clear to everyone that he had been abandoned for a while by the time I found him. They took him in, health issues and all, and found him the perfect home! They kept me updated throughout the entire process. In addition, I adopted a senior girl, Sweet Sadie, about 2 years later. Sweetest little babe you've ever met. The process was easy, but thorough. I knew they wouldn't have matched us together had they felt it wasn't going to be ideal for either one of us. The entire organization is easy to work with, so if you're looking for an adoptable, big, sweet slobbery hound, you've come to the right place!
