We adopted two beautiful, young, brother cats from Heartland Animal Shelter in 2014. At the time, the cats had been lovingly fostered by dedicated volunteers who then went to great lengths to find good homes for "the boys." Our involvement with Heartland, from meeting the cats and their caregivers, to filling out adoption papers, demonstrated their selfless devotion to the care and nurturing of all animals. We feel that Heartland goes to incredible lengths -- with very limited funds -- to connect with the animals in their charge, and to complete the "circle of love" between pets and people.
