Review for Business Council For Peace, Inc. (Bpeace), Winston Salem, NC, USA
I'm going on my ninth year volunteering with BPeace and it never gets old. Each new Fast Runner I help, even in the simplest capacity, truly benefits in growing their business, creating jobs, and fostering economic stability for themselves, their families, and their region. I couldn't be more proud of the work BPeace does in the world.

In my sixth year volunteering with BPeace, I am even more impressed with the work they are doing. I'm lucky enough to be a traveling mentor, so I see the real-time benefits that are impacting lives in Guatemala, El Salvador and elsewhere.

This is my fourth year volunteering with BPeace and it is one of the most fulfilling things in my life. Building economic stability to ensure lasting peace makes so much sense.

I just got back from my fifth trip as a BPeace traveling mentor, and my passion for this organization only continues to grow. I get so much personally out of volunteering (I also serve on the executive council), and I know our Fast Runner constituents get life-changing advice that truly moves their businesses forward. I couldn't be happier with my BPeace experience.

My third Traveling Mentor trip with BPeace was really great. I spent one week with Lina, helping her with growth ideas for her industrial printing business. A little process work, a little cost accounting, and a LOT of customer experience improvements will help her make a leap towards business maturity and hopefully lots of growth! BPeace continues to be my non-profit soul mate.

I had the great privilege of kicking off the 3rd Fast Runner cohort in El Salvador with a day-long workshop about business strategy, followed by 1-hour sessions with each of the 20 Fast Runners. It was a whirlwind of fascinating learning for me, given the vast diversity of industries represented. I was struck by how brave these entrepreneurs are - it's hard enough to be an entrepreneur with all the financial risks associated with such an endeavor, but to do so in a formerly conflict-ridden country is even more difficult.
The second week I got to spend 4 days doing a deep dive with one of the Guatemalan Fast Runners. Here I got to experience a much different reward in helping one woman delve into the challenges she faces with client satisfaction, employee engagement and growth.
I would highly recommend (and have already done so!) BPeace to friends and colleagues as a truly rewarding experience for everyone involved.
