The folks from The Wild Animal Sanctuary braved a winter trip from Colorado to the mountains of Northeast Georgia to rescue grizzly and black bears that had been kept in the concrete pits of a roadside attraction. The mama bear's cubs were taken away almost immediately... some had to be tube fed, they were so young. Not only did the Sanctuary have to deal with getting through snow storm, they also had to work with a bank on the foreclosure deadline to get the bears out and on to Colorado. To see some of these bears take their first steps on grass and to actually keep their new cubs was absolutely wonderful. So, "lions, tigers and bears, oh my" IS the Wild Animal Sanctuary.
