This organization is the reason I attribute the rapid increase in safer cycling options in the DC metro area over the past several years. This organization works to protect the safety and interest of all who stare the road, and strives to increase access to biking around the city. I have served as a volunteer bike ambassador, which is an easy and fun way to increase bike safety, sometimes even while biking!

ARVF has made incredible strides to enhance the lives of young people facing life threatening illness. I have not been involved in an official capacity for several years, but this organization has been close to my heart since it was founded. I have previously served as a volunteer, event co-chair, and a youth advisory board member in the early years of the organization. ARVF creates amazing youth friendly spaces for respite across the country and beyond, all with a dedicated barebones team.
