Every year I look foward to seeing the slides from Chiapas and hearing the wonderful progress reports. It is amazing what a small group from the Olympic Peninsula can do.

The latest was a sale of masks made in Chiapas. Proceeds will support the scholarships.Due to the Covid 19 Chiapas is unable to sell the beautiful flowers they grow, so they have lost that sourse of revenue.

I am so impressed with the organization and amazed with all they do one on one. I look forward to the annual dinner as we get to hear the latest news and see photos of the women we are helping.

Every year at the annual (delicious) fund raising dinner we hear success stories of girls and women in Chiapas who have continued their education thanks to help from Mujeres de Maiz.This is important because woman are more apt to return to their home village and educate and support other women.
