Poodle Rescue is a great organization working hard to rescue dogs from many situations. We adopted a poodle, Baxter, aka Bob Dylan, from Poodle Rescue and he is a true gift to our family. When we went to the rescue and I did a phone interview, I appreciated that the rescue screened new owners. When we visited the dogs I was very impressed with how clean the kennels were and the care the dogs received. The volunteer was very helpful and gave us the information we needed about the dogs. We picked 2 dogs and were allowed to spend as much time as we needed in the family area. This area was nice fenced area for us to interact with the dogs. We chose Baxter. He was pulled from an animal shelter just because he was a poodle in need of rescue. He had been at the animal shelter for 2 months and at the rescue for about a month. In the month at the rescue, they took care of dental needs, neutered, shots, and address a slight skin issue. We took Baxter to our vet the first week we had him for blood work and a check up. All of his blood work was very good and he was healthy. The Poodle Rescue had done a great job making sure he was healthy and ready for adoption. My experience with Poodle Rescue was great and I now have an appreciation for the work of a good rescue. Thanks to Poodle Rescue we have Baxter and a life time of memories.
