Review for EASEL Animal Rescue League, Lawrenceville, NJ, USA
I have adopted all three of my cats from EASEL and the staff have been just lovely to work with. I adopted Oliver back in 2007, while they were based out of their old location, and to be honest I was very nervous about going into an animal shelter. I was expecting it to just break my heart, but the love and warmth from all of the volunteers was overwhelming. When I went back to adopt another cat, Sophie in 2014, they were well settled into their current location and again I was pleasantly surprised with accommodations, staff, and volunteers. A little over a year after that, I saw a posting on their Facebook page regarding a litter of kittens that were going to be up for adoption in the next few weeks and I swore I wouldn' get another cat. But the routine posts on the status of the kittens drew me in to just drop off a donation of food and other supplies. It took about 5 minutes with the "Scandal" litter to know that I was going to have a 3 cat household. I picked up Livie the next day after only 1 day in the shelter. All of the cats where well adjusted and used to human contact and made an easy transition. The staff at EASEL does amazing work with TNR as well as adoptions and I'm looking to volunteer with them in the next several months.
