There is no better warrior to end hunger than The Society of St. Andrew. They take fresh produce, gleaned from the fields or donated by farmers and farmer's markets and see that it is distributed to people in need. Nearly 100% of their funds are used to this end. They are the best!!!

There is absolutely nothing negative I could say about this organization. Their work is win-win-win. Farmers have a place to donate their abundance of crops, the food goes to hungry people in the same area and good people come together to glean those crops, package them and get them to the hungry/homeless. The Society of St. Andrew perfectly embodies "waste not, want not." This is truly love in action!

This non-profit organization enlists local volunteers to glean fields of produce that will not be sold or otherwise used. This is not all they do, but this is the bulk of their outreach. The food is distributed to local food banks and other agencies that see that it gets to those who would other wise go hungry. There can be no better to serve the homeless and hungry. They are a selfless and altogether wonderful organization. They are angels on earth.
