We have adopted 2 WGSD from Echo. Echo is a wonderful organization that goes out of its way to do everything they can to help this breed and provide their dogs with the best possible care and furever homes. They encourage you to keep in contact with them so they know how their adoptees are doing and are willing to help anytime. I wasn't even looking to adopt when our second Echo dog came into our lives. I volunteer as a transport driver and was asked to help pull a dog from a shelter and temporarily foster him for about a week until they could get him on a transport north. He was ill when we picked him up and I let Echo know. We took him immediately to a vet with all costs paid by Echo. He needed to hang around our house until he was well before he could be transported. Needless to say the bond was formed and we became one of the infamous "foster failures." Nothing but win-win situations here.
