Review for Time for Change Foundation, San Bernardino, CA, USA
After I graduated from college two years ago, it was very difficult for me to find a job in my field of Women's Studies. Therefore, I started working at a call center where I met a co-worker who seemed different from most. He was hard working, unselfish, and very motivating. One day he was searching for emergency resources to help him as a single father of four young children. He then came across Time For Change Foundation Organization, where he received support so him and his family can move into their own apartment. He always talked about how other programs turned him away because he was a man. I felt inspired about the impact TFCF had left on my co-worker. He suggested I volunteer. Working full time, I started volunteering for TFCF on my off days. It was one of the best decisions I made in my life. I have never worked in such a positive and accepting environment. As clients come in and out of the door, Mrs.Carter and the staff always made sure everyone was assisted with some kind of resource. TFCF does not discriminate against anyone because they see individuals for who they are and not how society have stigmatized them. I have seen them work countless hours to make sure someone did not leave our building in their same unfortunate circumstances. TFCF not only sees the potential in clients, but they also seen something special within me. When I did not think other employers can give a post graduate like myself a chance at employment; Mrs. Carter did. I am truly grateful and blessed to be working for one of the best organizations where they truly care about helping the community and building hope in every persons life they come across.
