Review for ABRAHAMIC ALLIANCE INTERNATIONAL INC, San Jose, CA, USA
Our synagogue, Congregation Shir Hadash hosted an event to assemble 1,000 hygiene kits for homeless neighbors in Santa Clara County with the Abrahamic Alliance International. I was the contact to get the event scheduled and set up. I had all the support I needed from AAi to make the arrangements for the event with synagogue staff. We had full registration (support also provided by AAI to bring in volunteers). We had a great day. AAi has the assembly tasks organized and simple to do. Volunteers of the three faiths had opportunities to talk together in small groups before starting work as well as with each other as work was done. We worked quickly and with dedication, and in no time the kits were assembled. Volunteers helped break down the set up together before saying goodbye and heading home. There was a lovely sense of unity, and I was proud of the work to help others in need.
Thank you Bonita. It was truly our pleasure to work with you. Congregation Shir Hadash has been a great partner to AAi for several years now. AAi is honored to collaborate with you in tikkun olam, and we look forward to many more years of collaborating with you in compassion.
Review for Environmental Volunteers, Inc., Palo Alto, CA, USA
The presenter gave a wonderful presentation to our students. I liked how he tied the texts we read to the ideas of the sacredness of the earth, the need for sustainability and environmental justice. Our students engaged in what they can be doing to protect the earth.
