My friends recommended LR as they adopted a dog from them. When I filed my online application I received a call the next day to set up the home interview. LR is concerned about a safe and dog friendly environment. I was able to go to the foster parent's home and choose the dog-in this case a puppy from an abandoned momma they found. I loved the fact that they were fostered and the foster mother was wonderful with the puppies. They were paper trained by the time I took her home-at 8 weeks. She was also spayed-which my vet confirmed would pose no health issues later.
I would so recommend LR as they do such a wonderful thing by taking in, training and rehoming/adopting out all these dogs. They require training which helps the dog and parent bond plus makes for a better home life for all. The flat adoption fee probably doesn't cover all the expenses. Plus any other surgeries/medical issues could get expensive. It's a wonderful group. I would adopt from them again in a heartbeat.
