During a Veterans Conference at the University that I was attending after getting out of the service I met Rick McKenna, a Warriors to Work Specialist. Rick encouraged me to become a member of the Wounded Warrior Project alumni. I hesitated at first, but the minute I joined I felt the support and dedication of this organization. Rick was able to guide me with resume writing and showed me opportunities on reaching out to potential employers. It may not seem like a lot, but each one of us needs different support. That was the kind of support I needed to get my confidence back after being medically discharged. The Wounded Warrior Project constantly gives me opportunities to connect with other alumni members through sponsored events. I am a proud Alumni!
