I've worked with Kathy Williams for many years, and always appreciated her balance of ability, positivity, humility, determination, and impact. I support St Jude in part because of her leadership, as well as the organization's track record helping refugees and families overseas and in the US find safety and education. The need is particularly acute for women with children escaping violence, and Kathy has honed in on this as a key opportunity for generational and societal improvement. And since so much of the work is beset not only by financial considerations, but also by logistical and bureaucratic challenges, Kathy's skill and determination are uniquely suited to the mission.
