Review for Cascades Raptor Center, Eugene, OR, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I came, I saw--and the birds conquered my heart! They are incredibly beautiful and, I think, very wise creatures. It's a great privilege to be so close to them, and I can see the love and trust between the birds and their handlers. I once watched a vulture perch on a handler's shoulder to eat its dinner (a vole or something similar). I couldn't believe how daintily it ate! The Center is a marvelous educational venue, and I only hope it will be able to expand both its enclosure and its outreach. It deserves all the financial resources it can get!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing that the birds look healthy and contended.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the privilege of meeting these raptors much more closely than I would be able to in the wilderness!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

kind and knowledgeable.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

educate many more people about the necessity of preserving wildlife and habitat, as well as expand the facility to help more injured and traumatized birds.

Ways to make it better...

the entry walkway were easier to climb. It's very steep, which makes it difficult for elderly or alter-abled people to climb.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

financial!

One thing I'd also say is that...

Keep up the good work!
