Review for Project Night Night, San Francisco, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

With strong, supportive leadership and an elegantly simple idea, PNN provides comfort and reassurance to homeless children across the country. When I delivered Night Night bags to little ones, they immediately hugged the blankets, stuffed animals, and sometimes the book! I also saw the gratitude of the care takers, who were grateful for the extra dose of love that PNN delivers to their kids. This is an awesome organization!

The Memphis area has a lot of poverty and hundreds of children in shelters. With the support and guidance of the Project Night Night Board, we formed a local team three years ago, and to date have delivered 2,478 tote bags to our shelters! On behalf of our team and the kids in Memphis, THANK YOU, Project Night Night!

I read about PNN and instantly recognized the idea as elegant, simple, and critically needed. I couldn't find any volunteers in Memphis so a few of us started asking for donations. We now deliver totes to local shelters and family service agencies year-round, and have gotten amazing feedback from our community. Shelter program directors tell us about the joy and comfort that the items bring to the children, and that the parent is grateful as well. I wish that the need was not there, but as long as it is, PNN is making a huge difference in so many communities like mine.

The wonderful work of Project Night Night has reached all the way to Memphis, TN, which has a large population of homeless children. Not only are the kids excited to receive a Night Night package, but the parents and shelter staff are so grateful. Project Night Night provides something that the parents aren't able to at the moment, and the staff thank our volunteers repeatedly.
