My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for People Resources and Conservation Foundation, Los Angeles, CA, USA
The PRCF team is very welcoming and provided much support for me during my placement. Knowing very little about environmental issues in South East Asia prior to my assignment at their Indonesian office, I gained a wealth of information and have a new found interest in these important conservation issues. The organization may be small, but they are working towards tackling big issues in a results oriented approach. Their work in empowering local comnunities seems to be the driving force of their current successes and is one reason why I would love to work with the organization again

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
their work with local community empowerment towards achieving conservation.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
assist it in its growth so that it could do similar initiatives throughout Asia, and other parts of the world.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
that it is a small team achieving big results.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
kind, welcoming and very dedicated to their work.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
have a large, positive impact on international conservation issues and environmental policy.
Ways to make it better...
I would also have been able to contribute knowledge about conservation issues through personal research done prior to my placement.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
growth in uncertain economic times. It is difficult to provide long term, sustainable commitments to local communities while seeking funding to support these initiatives.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I would provide a positive reference for any individual, grantmaker or organization wishing to be involved with the PRCF
