I've joined 6 different conservation holidays with Biosphere Expeditions to some amazing parts of the world, including Namibia, Oman, Altai mountains and the rainforest in Peru. On each expedition I've felt I'm playing a small, but vital role in helping to understand more about the protection needed of the different environments and the species that live there.

The one thing that has always impressed me is the organisation of each expedition. On arrival, time is spent learning how to use any equipment or drive off-road, invaluable and important skills once you are out in the field carrying out the research, and also useful back at home (not the off-road driving so much!).

I've met some great people, both locals and other volunteers, and each expedition has created long lasting memories.
