I started volunteering with Ceres Project in 2013. Working as an Adult Mentor chef was a great experience, not only for sharing cooking skills and knowledge with the student volunteers but getting to make wonderful, healing, tasty meals. Then in August 2014, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily I caught it early, but I opted to do both Chemo and radiation as well as eastern healing practices, acupuncture, massage, yoga and meditation. I became a client of a Ceres and received the incredible healing, beautifully prepared meals, delivered to my door for 16 weeks. Being on the receiving end was difficult for me, but I got to experience the whole process, and give feedback, as well. Ceres is an incredible project that has helped so many people maintain their strength in a difficult time and their hopes in getting their lives back. Think you Ceres.
