Review for Operation Nine Reindeer, Inc., Douglassville, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This is a fantastic non-profit! I have never met more genuine and caring people. They prove through their missions that lives can truly be changed just by listening and showing kindness. Now more than ever the world needs more expressions of hope and goodness.

Review for THE CHAPEL OF FOUR CHAPLAINS (Four Chaplains Memorial Foundation), Philadelphia, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Chapel of Four Chaplains adopted my son and I three years ago after he was a bugler for them at an event when he was just 9-years-old. We've attended many of their events and know about the powerful work they are doing for the veteran community. The ideals of selfless service that they promote are ones that are often overlooked. They bring attention to problems that impact many and they never turn anyone away. My son and I are so proud and honored to call them family and to be part of their mission!

My son had the honor of sounding Taps for this organization. It was a very rewarding experience and we learned a great deal about history from the group.

Review for Home Port Alliance for the USS New Jersey, Inc., Camden, NJ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My 10-year-old son played a 9/11 Memorial and Burial at Sea event on the USS New Jersey during one of the hottest days of the summer. The employees were so accommodating and supplied us with ample free water and shade the best they could to keep us from fainting or getting dehydrated until the service was over. They even offered us a free private tour, but we were drenched in sweat so declined. We'll definitely go back to see the entire ship.

Review for Bugles Across America NFP, Morristown, NJ, USA

Nine-year old Bugles for Veterans

My son and I support Bugles Across America. I read in a magazine that the military only has 500 live buglers for funeral honors and therefore the majority of people who request military honors for a funeral get a recording of TAPS. When my son started playing the trumpet I asked him if he'd be interested in sounding live Taps at funerals and memorials and he said yes immediately. Since May 2015 he's participated in dozens of missions. His sweet face and beautiful bugle call bring such joy to people on their darkest days. We're repeatedly thanked by military families for what we do. My son is the youngest bugler in the country. We travel hundreds of miles and make many sacrifices so that our nation's heroes get the military honors they so deserve. We do not get paid for what we do and incur gas, tolls, and often parking costs that we pay out-of-pocket. Both of us take this responsibility very seriously because without or service men and women we would not be afforded the freedoms we often take for granted. Having many friends and family in the military and having lost loved ones, we know first hand how important this is to families. I'm so proud of my son for his commitment to our country and to our military.
