I honestly can’t remember how we became involved with BHFER. We’ve been donating for many years. We live on the west coast, and one year my husband had a conference at Disneyworld. While there, I got the idea to reach out to them and see if we could visit. Within a day or 2 after contacting Teresa we were on our way for a visit. My husband and I were so impressed with their rescue. The horses were well fed and happy. The facility was clean and safe for the horses. I knew any donations we sent were being used for the horses in their care. They were so welcoming and appreciative that we drove to them. I always recommend this rescue to anyone who wants to be sure they are donating to a reputable and loving rescue. They are the real deal and I was so grateful to see it in person. May they always be blessed.

Such a wonderful and honest rescue. I live in California and became aware of BHER in Florida through a blog I read, several years ago. My husband I would donate throughout the years. About 2 years ago we happened to be in Florida and I realized we were a short drive away from the rescue. I contacted Theresa and asked if we could visit. Not a problem. Theresa was gracious and her volunteers very lovely. My husband and I were so impressed with the rescue. The pastures were clean, the horses well-loved, the property neat and tidy. We were so pleased to know our donations are going to a well-run and organized charity that are using ALL their donations for the animals. And we were so happy to see that for ourselves. I always recommend BHER to anyone who wants to support a loving horse charity or any charity for that matter. I hope they can continue do to this excellent work for many years to come.
